Korey is originally from Ohio where he attended Cleveland State University majoring in Biological Anthropology. He served in law enforcement, became a crime scene investigator, and found his way into the beauty industry as a fashion photographer for various hair product lines. This was the beginning of a journey that brought him into the beauty industry.
In 2008 he moved to Sarasota and started ECO Salon Solutions and ECO Academy. ECO Salon Solutions is a professional only beauty product distributor that introduced Korey to many stylists, including the new co-owner of LUXE, Lisa Imperante.
The ECO Academy is an advanced training facility for salon owners and stylists, featuring classes and various events designed to help salon owners and stylists stay on top of current technology and trends to better serve their clients. The educational programs assist stylists in earning the title of board certified hair colorist. Stylists and owners from all over the USA have enrolled in classes at the ECO Academy.
In addition, Korey is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and is working to complete his license in cosmetic Chemistry. With the opening of LUXE in 2015 and now with the 2016 merger of e’Lan Salon, Korey is excited about the future of LUXE and its new team of talented stylists.
Although Korey is not a stylist, and is very busy with ECO Salon Solutions and the Academy, he enjoys meeting our clients and sharing his extensive product knowledge, recommending the best solutions for healthy and well styled hair. His engaging personality and knowledge about the ins and outs of the beauty industry have made him a friend to salon owners all over the country, and the team at LUXE feel lucky to be part of his salon.
